Triiibes, One Year On….

triiibes_blog_ringA year has whooshed by since the Triiibes site opened its doors. This, Seth Godin’s precursor to Tribes the book (and the proof of its puddin’), has been a wondrous experience for me. Both externally and internally.

I have had the great pleasure and good fortune to connect with some amazing, diverse, thought-full, and expressive people around the globe.

I participated in a fulfilling and productive team exercise that was the creation of the Tribes Q&A ebook. It was a project that got sparked by one little message from Seth and that turned into an amazing group effort.

I got a dental emergency taken care of when I was on business travel because of a connection on Triiibes.

I met some amazing and energetic people living right here in Austin, some of whom I’ve worked with over the past year.

I have found a forum for thoughtful conversation that energizes me.

And lots more.

Internally, I have discovered that I have limits to my sociability. There have been times over the year that I’ve more or less dropped from sight on Triiibes, usually because I just needed some time to myself.

I have clarified my own thoughts around a wide range of topics as a result of tribal discussions.

And I have gotten at a whole new level that, though we may have solo businesses, we can’t do it alone.

Thanks…first to Seth…and then to all my “friends” on Triiiibes. Here’s to many more years of rubbing virtual elbows!
