It’s all about results. Producing them. Producing the right ones.

This is the time of year when you will see those of us who serve the solo at home business market point you to the new year. We talk about planning for 2010 and offer tools, courses, and other services to help you do that.

Planning is good. It’s a necessary part of owning a business. My only concern is that I’ve seen too many instances where the plans weren’t connected to results. Objectives were made, strategies were determined, but the follow through never happened. Not because the business owner didn’t want to follow through…more often than not, they hadn’t thought through what the strategies were going to take in terms of time, energy, and money, and without a clear and realistic road map, the result didn’t get produced.

Producing results takes thought, follow through, organization, and commitment, just to name a few ingredients. A lot of my shows here are about results and how to produce them. Over the weeks and months I will offer all kinds of ideas, suggestions and tips for getting the right stuff done. Today is just the beginning!
