Become an affiliate

I’m a big fan of winning. Not just me winning, because that’s not sufficient. We may be solo business owners, but we can’t do it alone.  We need to support each other, cheer our fellow solo flyers on, celebrate successes—our own and those of the folks on our network.

One morning not long ago, I was in that fuzzy transition phase between sleeping and waking, with random thoughts and images whirling slowly around in my head. As I lay there, not really wanting to wake up but knowing that I needed to, one idea rose clearly to the surface of my consciousness:

I am tired of offering kick-ass services that only a few people know about and get value from.

I need to get the word out!!

That idea brought me fully awake. I didn’t sit up straight in bed and yell “Eureka!” Rather, I lay there watching the ceiling fan go around and around and examined the idea in more depth.

Yes, I offer extreme value in all my services. Whether I’m helping another solo flyer break through in their business through my coaching programs or collaborating with them on a results-laden marketing initiative, I give clients a lot of value for their money. I am passionate about helping people who want to work from home get to the financial and time freedom that they are seeking, and all of my services are focused on that goal.

So it’s frustrating, I went on with my thinking, that so few people know about the great programs I make available. Whether it’s “free form” coaching, one time or monthly subscription, or more structured support through programs like Elance Express and the GROWFAST program, my clients are “two thumbs up” about the contribution I make to their success.  I want to get the word out to more folks, because the work I do is basic stuff that few solo business owners focus on by themselves. I help clients create health roots in a solid business foundation that will let them grow as much as they want. That’s the way they will get the kind of lifestyle they want.

And another thing about getting the word out to other people, some of whom choose to work with me, is that the Success in Sweatpants community will grow and create synergies among the members.  I know from experience that the energy that a community contributes to its members can drive results through the roof for everyone concerned, and I have great faith in the Success in Sweatpants community to do just that. What’s needed right now is more members.

OK, I thought, I know WHY I want to get the word out. Now the question is…HOW? It seems to me that the crunched economy has increased the number and volume of voices out there offering what can seem like the same kind of services I offer.  How can I make my voice heard above all that noise so that the people who need to hear me can do so?

The answer came almost immediately: It’s not a matter of YOU getting louder, Trish. That won’t work. It’s a matter of having other people, people who know how valuable your services are, join in the chorus. When there is a whole group of us delivering the message, our collective voice will get the attention of the right people, and the Success in Sweatpants community will grow.

And that’s when I realized that my affiliate program was the way to go. And that I wanted the program to be a three-way win for me, my affiliates, and the new Success in Sweatpants clients that my affiliates bring.

Get  Promotional Tools

Once you have registered as an affiliate, I invite you to send an email to sis-affiliate@aweber.com. I have resources to help you promote Success in Sweatpants, including banners that you can use on your blog or website, suggestions about how I can help you promote to your network, and copy you can use in emails and blog posts. I’ll send these tools and resources to you in a series of messages, and will send new stuff from time to time as it gets created.
