I haven’t met a solopreneur yet who regretted making the move to business ownership. Still, many “solo flyers” face challenges that hold them back or cause them to spin their wheels. This can be incredibly frustrating and worrisome, not to mention unprofitable. This strengthens the FUD factor I talk about on the home page of this site.
If you are like I was in the early days of my business, you are looking for help. Real help that will make a difference, that will let you leapfrog your way to business health. If you are taking a succession of programs and reading a pile of books hoping to find the answers you need to succeed, I have a question:
How is that working for you?
Too often, the search for help that makes a difference is futile. You get excited about this program, that boot camp, the ebook that your friend sent you – only to find that, after spending time and money on one or all of them, you haven’t gained the knowledge or skills that you need to make meaningful progress in your business. Time goes by, your bank account balance goes down, and you aren’t much farther forward. This often happens because the program or book doesn’t meet you where you are right now. It leads you to put your attention on the wrong things, launch strategies prematurely before you have created the right environment.
Another problem with many programs out there is the time it takes to complete them. The individuals and companies selling “how to succeed” programs can charge a higher price for a longer and more detailed curriculum. But you likely don’t have the time available to devote to the work related to the program because of business and personal demands, so you fall farther and farther behind. Eventually you just give up, and the program rolls on without you. And without the return on investment this kind of expense needs to give you.
But let’s get back to the key issue, which often seems to be anemic sales. You aren’t attracting customer or aren’t selling to the customers you do have. What do you do in this case? Well, the route many of us take is to do more and different marketing. We jump from marketing idea to marketing idea, hoping that something will stick and bring in the business we want. But nothing seems to work.
Alternatively, we come up with new and different offers. We joint venture with other solo business owners, hoping to get leverage from their networks. We hook up with a famous name in our target market hoping that the association will lead to the growth of our own businesses.
Strategies like these may work, but more often than not, they don’t. Why? Because we are not focused enough or we aren’t offering and selling to our markets.
- To make your sales most effective, you must have a realistic marketing plan.
- To have a realistic marketing plan, you need a good offering catalog.
- To create a good offering catalog, you need to know who you are selling to and why they should buy from you.
And you need these three things in place quickly, without a lot of muss and fuss.

Have all three key elements for business growth in place right after Labor Day!
My GROWFAST program gives you the 3 “must have” ingredients for this recipe, in the right order:
- Crystal clarity about who you serve, what you do for them, and (very important) why you do what you do.
- An offering catalog that allows people to buy from you at whatever price level they are comfortable at.
- A realistic, actionable, and measurable marketing plan.
Do you notice something about these three? They are linked. You can’t get to #2 without taking care of #1, and you can’t create #3 without having #2. Trying to create an effective marketing plan without having a set of offerings that are focused on a specific target market and without a clear marketing message to convey won’t give you the results you are looking for. You have to make sure all three of these items are taken care of in sequence in order to maximize the outcome.
That’s what the GROWFAST program is about. Each of the program’s three modules concentrates on each “must have” in sequence, and on producing the right results.
Module 1 Result: Your Business Foundation
In Module 1, you do the work necessary to clearly define your ideal clients within your finely-focused target market. You also create your foundation marketing message, which is based on your market’s needs, desires, and sought-after benefits. You will complete this module with the building blocks you need for the next two modules.

Module 2 Result: Your Sales Sphere
In Module 2, you use the work you have done in Module 1 to create your offering catalog (called a “sales sphere”) and to craft an approach for engaging prospects and turning them into clients. When you complete this module, you will have a plan for creating a sales sphere that will produce the right results.
I was very happy with the input I got from Trish in Module 1 of the GROWFAST program. I started to get a much clearer vision for my business. During Module 2, we really worked on my “sales sphere.” I am clear about what each level needs to contain, and how I need go about putting the offerings at each of those levels in place. I am thrilled to report that my first free Lunch and Learn seminar (Level 0 of my sales sphere) had a great response. Twelve people called to inquire, six people showed up. Module 3 Result: Your Marketing Plan
Module 3 is where the rubber meets the road. Using all the work you have done in the previous two modules, we step through key marketing strategies for solo business owners. After each session, you will create a plan for each strategy, culminating in the preparation of your integrated marketing plan. This isn’t just a bullet list of stuff. This is a full plan with milestones, allocated resources, and metrics. And I will review it with you in a private one-on-one phone session at the end of the module.
THE PROGRAM RESULT: When you complete the full GROWFAST program, you know exactly what you need to do and how you need to do it in order to get SOLO SALES SUCCESS.
I can’t praise Trish and her group coaching enough! PROGRAM DETAILS
Here is some logistical information about GROWFAST :
- Each module is 3 weeks long, 2 group sessions the first 2 weeks, and a group session and private one-on-one session with me in Week 3.
- Though I recommend taking the whole program to maintain momentum, I recognize that this may not be the best approach for you. Therefore each module can be taken separately, but you must complete #1 before you take #2 and #2 before you take #3. The program is offered periodically, so you can jump back in when it works for you.
- There will be homework assigned with all or most sessions. The homework is designed to help you do the tasks necessary to achieve the objectives of the module, and is also designed with the busy nature of solo business ownership in mind!
- The purpose of our one-on-one telephone session at the end of each module is to answer any questions you still have or to talk about any areas you need help with. At the end of Module 3, this session will be a review of and discussion about the marketing plan you have created.
- Cost for each module is $349. If you register for the full program, the cost is $799 (but you must register for all three modules at the same time).
