I haven’t met a solopreneur yet who regretted making the move to business ownership.

  • We jump from marketing idea to marketing idea, hoping that something will stick and bring in the business we want.
  • We try this strategy, then that one, using approaches that sound right but that don’t really work.
  • We come up with something to sell that we think will appeal to our target market, then try something else when that doesn’t seem to take hold.
  • We joint venture with other solo business owners, hoping to get leverage from their networks.
  • We hook up with a famous name in our target market hoping that the association will lead to the growth of our own businesses.
  • We network, we try social media, we give speeches and presentations, and on and on, trying to find the right equation to get to our goals.

But nothing really works.  

Why? Because we don’t have clarity in our business fundamentals, our offerings, or our communication.

FACT – If you aren’t crystal clear about the essentials of your business, you can waste a lot of time and money: 

  • On marketing strategies that aren’t good fits for your prospects and your business.
  • On developing offers that your market doesn’t want.

FACT – There are three essentials for success that are neglected by most solo business owners:

  • To make your sales most effective, you must be able to influence prospects through communication.
  • To influence through communication, you need know exactly what to offer.
  • To know what to offer, you need to know who you are selling to and why they should buy from you.

The failure to achieve crystal clarity in these three essentials keep too many solo flyers stuck in trial-and-error mode. And in the meantime the clock ticks on and the bank account balance erodes.

Too often, the search for help that makes a difference is futile. You get excited about this program, that boot camp, the ebook that your friend sent you – only to find that, after spending time and money on one or all of them, you haven’t gained the knowledge or skills that you need to make meaningful progress in your business. This is the missing puzzle piece that eluded me for so long. It’s the piece that we all jump over in our rush to start marketing; I had done the same in GROWFAST 1.0, when this section covered preparing your marketing plan. But no more

So…rather than jump straight from your sales sphere to marketing plan, we use all the work you have done in the previous two sections to create your source communication document. This will be the basis of every marketing communication you prepare going forward, no matter what channels you use. I will walk you through the exercises and activities that produce your “go-to guide” for any copy you prepare – web copy, email messages, presentation themes, networking conversations—basically ANYTHING you say to the world about your business and what it has to offer.

GROWFAST 2.0 takes place over two months like this:

  • #1 – 4 sessions over 2 weeks
  • #2 – 4 sessions over 2 weeks
  • #3 – 4 sessions over 4 weeks

There is purpose in this schedule.

To maximize the results of the program, you need to commit to doing the work. Rather than draw out the process, we concentrate the first two sections into two two-week periods. This means that you only need to make the time you need to work on this part of the program over a single month.

The third section is longer so that you will be able to allocate time to do the writing that will comprise your source document. Each week you will have homework designed to build that document, which will require setting aside writing time (probably in more than one session).
